Join us at Jennifer Clinard's studio for a weekend of mixed media papier mache play.
Beloved of window dressers, costumers, set designers, party planners, and puppeteers, Papier Maché is a versatile, low tech, affordable, and simple way to capture a form, a shape, a figure. We have streamlined the process and made it archival. Maché is an ideal way to experiment with jumping scale and we will encourage participants to try working in a variety of sizes, from tiny to larger than life.
This weekend will cover everything you need to know to start working:
Casting found forms
Creating your own forms
Incorporating found objects
Limited to only 8 participants!
Beginners and serious artists alike will find approaches to energize and expand their work.

What to Expect
We provide a wealth of images to open your imagination, and a forum for sharing ideas. We will provide a wide range of paper mache objects for your inspiration.
Our sessions combine one on one and small group coaching with class projects, exercises and critiques. Studios are open for work 9:30 AM to 6 PM. Instruction is provided 10:00AM - 12:30PM and 1:30 PM - 4PM though we are available throughout for consultation. We provide handouts on many techniques.
A tremendous resource for all of us is the great wealth of experience and imagination that each participant brings. This is a weekend of immersion with others who treasure their time making art.
