Our week long summer retreat in Moravia, NY is a mixed media exploration with a collage aesthetic. Held July 21 - 26, 2013.

As mixed media artists, we craft objects that tell a story. We use metal, wood, cloth, clay, plaster, paper and paint to suggest a narrative.

	Summer Week of mixed media - July 21-26, 2013 An exuberant week in the studios in Moravia, New York Join the Oiseaux Sisters for a joyful and productive week long mixed media exploration with a collage aesthetic. We’ll work with a mix of media, large and small, solo and collaboratively to craft objects and focus intentions. Our well equipped studios are set up for working with wood, print, paper, paint, metal, cloth and papier maché. We offer technique demos and individual problem solving. Focus on one technique and/or format in depth, or sample and mix your media. · We’ll discuss strategies for continuity, mechanisms for change, Issues of scale, portability and presentation.

The Oiseaux Sisters are two mixed-media artists whose work incorporates humor, movement and metaphor. The materials they use include paper, tin, clay, cloth, carved and painted wood, and found objects. They have created a series of figurative, often biographical or mythological figures/ cupboards which range from small to larger than life size as well as many other figurative pieces which tell stories. The Oiseaux Sisters have made and marketed one of a kind craft as well as exhibiting in many solo and group shows around the country. We invite you to visit them at their upcoming events.
